1st Thursdays, Shoreditch

2 December 2010

Gallery: Forgot the name and address of the gallery.
Exhibtion: Deltiology

5 artists who use the postcard as an object as their subject.
The display suited perfect in the space, the works of the artists were mixed in the hang. You could distinguish them by looking at the style (or on the wall plan).

The gallery space was in an old small victorian house. It was more like a big corridor than a room, curtains (held aside by ties) separated the the front part (where the display was) with the back (where some people were sitting at a table). An intimate atmosphere that suited the display.

Gallery: Rocket
Exhibtion: Peter Hedegaard. Paintings and Screenprints.

Very impressive work. The light in the space was very white. This served the work with bright colors and details because they became more visible because of this and you could see the actual value of the painting instead of just colors. The hang of the paintings was good, quite traditional, enough space to look at the works without the colors of other works attacking the eyes.

Gallery: - (in the beginning of Redchurch street ( seen from shoreditch high street) on the left hand side)
Exhibtion: -

It is really bad that I forgot the name of the gallery where I saw a good exhibition and I wanted to go back to when it would be less busy. Sadly I didn't find the time to go back, so I only have my memory.
There was were different artists whose work was diverse. There was a small space with a separate door and a bigger space of which the door was at the end of a small corridor.
